CHURCH HISTORY

On January 02, 2002, the mission was started through Bible study and Tracts distribution around the vicinity of Electrical road, Domestic Pasay City. A lot of young people responded the Gospel and Pastor Eusebio D. Avelino Jr. started a mission in the house of Galang’s family.

The mission started without any Church materials nor furniture. But didn’t hinder at all for God grace them a chance to use the shoe rock as Pastor Pulpit. And to sit in a bedstead and other brethren was squatting on the floor. And gave them also a “photo copied” song Baptist favorites song book. Children and adults were combined into one class since no room to place. However, joyfulness and contentment in the Lord was in their midst. And they resumed the task with heartfelt desirous and firmness and perseverance with a fervent prayer in their hearts that sooner or later the Lord Jesus will provide a bigger and reposeful place to worship.

God answered our prayers on March 31, 2002, with God’s grace the mission was moved from Electrical road Domestic Pasay to # 1073 Amarillo cor. Asucena St. Maricaban, Pasay City. And occupy a new building giving bigger and better rooms to separate Sunday school for children and adults.  From them on the Lord began adding more souls to the missions.

The mission was organized last December 29, 2002, by Rev. Jessie Enton a Pastor of Divine Bible Baptist Church, Taguig Metro Manila and Pastor Eusebio D. Avelino Jr. was ordained and sent out in the midst of the congregation, preachers, elders, deacons, was served as a witness on that occasion. After on that moment, the Rock of Ages Bible Baptist Church became an independent local Church in Maricaban Pasay City.

But with all these, God had been faithful and true to His promises. The Church grow in grace and numbers of people added to the Church. And tithes and offerings increased to support Church expenses.

Therefore, beloved let us continue to support and pray the Church for the furtherance of the Great Commission that the Lord Jesus had left to us.

Servant of Christ,

Eusebio D. Avelino Jr.
